Log aboard the thousand sunny

Who: The straw hat crew (if they want to join in) and Bianchi
What: Lessons on Seaking Charming
Where: On the main deck of the Thousand Sunny
When: Should have happened a while ago >_>
Why: Because Bianchi offered to remove her panties in front of Brooke which Brooke doesn't really care much about anymore.

Brooke was rather nervous.  He was surprised that he actually was nervous since it wasn't a feeling he exactly had very often given that he could sing in front of thousands of people and not be nervous or charge into battle without breaking a sweat.  Partly because I don't have any sweat he thought to himself trying to laugh at his own joke.  That was something that was bothering him quite a bit.  Whenever he even tried to laugh he started to forget what he was saying and it wasn't until someone pointed it out that he even noticed!  But this wasn't the time to worry about such things, what he really was nervous about was that it had been so long since he had taught anyone to sing.   In fact he wasn't sure if nervous was quite the right word since he also felt rather excited too.

He jumped up at the sound of the little boat tapping against the side of the ship.  He had almost forgotten that she was going to be arriving.  He lowered a step ladder and offered her his skeletal hand to pull he up onto the ship.  Trying his best to be polite to their new guest he straightened his hair and gave her his most winning grin saying, "Welcome aboard the Straw Hat Pirate's Ship, the Thousand Sunny!"

"Correct. And since the one to drive them away is one of the most important and needed if you happen to screw up, we shall start with that." To try to match her blank expression he instinctively reached inside his coat pocket for another cup of tea and reamarkably kept it intact for a change. "And so we shall begin."

Brooke taught Bianchi the tune for hours going over each part carefully so there was little room for error. From the tune of summoning which was much like the sound of a thrashing wounded animal, or cries for help from a person under water, to the tune of repelling which had the sound of thunder on the sea, the cry of a sea gull, and a pitch that was too fine to be hearable to the human ear. The tune of charming was the most beautiful with notes used most in merfolk songs that made you imagine glowing coral, sunken treasure, and mermaids basking in the sun.

Throughout the lesson an occasional Sea King popped it's head up near the ship which Brooke used for examples on how it's done. While also repelling them the hell away right afterwords so the crew wouldn't notice and start trying to kill him for bringing them here.

"Well we have gone over the basics of the first three parts and you have shown some competance in being able to use them. We shall continue on another day. The tunes can always use some more practice due to the dangerous nature, and the tune of enragement is far too dangerous to start on day one."

Bianchi, for her part, was rather patient about repeating things for him. She played piano but she was not unaccustomed to vocals. She found the first section particularly ridiculous but seemed effective and she was not one to complain. She paid lazer-like attention to the sea kings, they were enormous, and in her mind she could already see the dishes she planned to use them in. It made bearing with the learning easier. The skeleton was patient, if a little overexciteable. By the end though her voice was sore she did not work it regularly.

She ran fingers over her throat lightly and sat back on a chair finally, her entire diaphragm ached. She wasn't a fantastic singer but she was passable. She could hit the notes, she was starting to get the hang of some of the tones. The thunderish one really took it's toll though that was the one that had strained her voice the most.

"I do not think..." she swallowed heavily, "I could do it today even if I had the drive." She admitted.

Brooke glanced over at the slightly winded Bianchi and remembered he wasn't actually training one of his old bards but a normal human being, and he had gone on a little longer than he would have normally with them in such a tricky song.

"Oh I'm sorry! I forgot how straining it can be to sing these songs. Perhaps you should get some honey tea to help your throat and maybe some rest. I've been doing this so long I don't even remember what it's like to be tired! Y-... zzzZZZ" Brooke had been trying to laugh but lost his train of thought and thus his focus. When he lost his focus his reason for being awake failed him and he collapsed falling into a much needed sleep after trying to teach longer than he should have. Before he went completely asleep he pondered on maybe he should have helped Bianchi to her room but he figured if she really needed she could ask another crew member. With one final snort for good measure he slipped into unconsciousness.

She had been about to respond to the skeleton, when she heard a loud snore. Bianchi wasn't really sure what to do about that. She certainly wasn't going to be picking the skeleton up and taking him to... wherever skeleton bards slept. She laid a hand on his shoulder and said his name quietly. "Brooke the Bard?" Nope no response. She stood and ran a hand through her hair, glancing around to see if she could find anyone to help her. She turned and picked back up her duffel bag and headed toward the first door she saw, hoping Brooke would be all right where she'd left him. She really could use some tea and honey right now.
