Dating and a new Song

It's a wonderful thing really.  Two people of similar interests coming together to spend time with one another in the hopes that they may become closer and perhaps romantically involved.  What is your ideal date?  What kinds of things should one even do on a date?  Do you consider yourself a good date?  How do you know if you should take more initiative or if you'll scare the other person off?  All these things are things I can't really say I know for sure being a skeleton, so what do think about these things?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really enjoyed the date I was on most recently and it's been quite a long time since anyone has even liked me in that sort of way even if very remotely.  My lady Trucy Wright?  I humbly ask of you if you'd like to go on a second date with me?  I'd really love to spend more time with you and I promise to make it an even more magical evening than the last.  Yohohoho!

Now I know what you're all thinking, "Brooke you helpless romantic!  Do your job already and play us a new song!"  Well never fear my good friends!  I never forget my duty to you all as an all around entertainer!  Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you my new song...

Candy Cigarettes!

I know a young marine who likes to eat a little snack,
He shrank just the other day and now he’d really like to turn back,
Smoker  has a sweet tooth fierce enough it could pierce his tongue,
And now Smoker eats his candy cigarettes so he doesn’t hack up a lung,

Oh candy cigarettes is his favorite treat now that he can’t use cigars,
Candy cigarettes is what he likes to eat since he cannot drink at the bar,
He likes his candy cigarettes  to eat more and more and more,
Candy cigarettes makes him cool he thinks and he likes ‘em more now than before,

Yeah those candy cigarettes make him happy you see cause it is his favorite treat,
Candy Cigarettes are his favorite past time since he can't even hold his Jitte,
He'll never feel sad with those sweets in his mouth and there one thing you should see,
Candy Cigarettes are so tasty you see and he certainly like them more than me!

YOHOHOHOHO!!!

Aha! Maybe you need to find a zombie invasion sight to entertain you!

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
No. That is the last thing I - or anyone else - needs.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I wholeheartedly agree. I spent almost 10 years on an island of zombies trying to fight one that stole my shadow!

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Ten years. Really? Hm. I've only spent a day in a town full of them.

How the hell do you lose your shadow?

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah so I was correct in assuming you had been around zombies a little more than you'd like. You had that slightly haunted look about you.

A very evil man has a devil fruit with the power to steal shadows and that is how he creates his zombie army. He ended up giving my shadow to an ancient samurai so that he could use my sword skills to his full advantage.

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. A lot more than I'd like. What do you mean, "haunted look"?

...Shadows that create zombie armies and ancient samurai. Sometimes I can't tell whether you're telling the truth or making up a story.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
You look like a man who's seen a bit more than he would have like to.

The truth is often much harder to believe than fiction.

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm... You're a little too perceptive.

Yes, that's...true. How was it, having no shadow?

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-04 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been told that before but I am a bard, it's part of my job description. If I were not perceptive I would not be able to figure out what it is that makes a man happy. I've also lived for 86 years, I've seen quite a bit in my time. Also you've mentioned things rather similar to my hypotheses.

Rather terrifying. I could not walk in the sunlight lest I turn into dust and so I had to hide during the day. What was worst was fighting my shadow, for while it was still me in some ways, it held nothing of the memories so dear to me that make me who I am.

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Touché. Eighty-six at time of death or including when you became the living dead?
......Have I?

Losing your shadow causes you to turn into dust in the sunlight. Now that's something I never would have guessed.
Of course it wasn't the same. Your shadow doesn't have a brain...then again, I don't think you do, either. Physically.

To be quite honest, I wasn't sure if he was from a zombie game, I thought it was aliens.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
That includes my years I've been dead. I died only about 40 years or so ago.
You mentioned you've died. Much of the time that implies you have some personal knowledge of zombies if you aren't one yourself.

True, but the puppeteer and zombie do have brains.

xD Technically they're just "monsters" but shh zombies work too.

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
I'm guessing you're going to be around for a long time.
Oh, right...yes, I...forgot I told you. But the zombies...monsters...I've seen before I died.

Then you're not really fighting yourself, in that aspect.

Ehh, close enough :P

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
It is quite possible that my life span will ever rival that of the giants.

Well one would assume since it's quite possible that they were the things that killed you.

True, but you are fighting an aspect of yourself. It sounds so familiar, almost like a part of your soul... but cold and uncaring.

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Giants. Seriously?

I know very well what killed me.

Almost what you were like as a vampire.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes indeed. I even had the misfortune of meeting a giant among giants zombie.

Sorry. It can be a rather touchy subject I know.

That really is scary!! At least my shadow spared my life!

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know which is worse, a giant or a zombie giant.

More than you would know.

That says something, at least.

Well let's see. The big on there is OZ the super giant I had to fight. To the right you have two giants on top of each other, and that itty bitty speck between the two is a human being.

Are you forgetting that I too have died? In my case it was slowly and painfully as I also got to watch my best friends throughout my entire life die one by one as well. Trust me, I know.

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
What the hell.
--Alright, alright...I believe you.

I wasn't trying to imply that yours wasn't. And I'm sorry to hear that.
But everyone dies in a different way. ...For different reasons.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Scary suckers aren't they?

Sorry about that... I didn't mean to get defensive or anything, I simply thought that since you said more than I know...

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
They're...something alright. ...Jeez.

No. It's alright.
We both apparently lost someone dear to us before our deaths.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You lost someone dear to you?! That's terrible!

[identity profile] wheresmywife.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, yes... I could've sworn this already came up.

[identity profile] tapdancinskelly.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... blame it on my brain being missing, but I don't remember it coming up.
