Well... the accommodations aren't exactly five star, and it's a little leaky, but at least it seems steerable. Not quite as bad as the last vessel I found myself alone on in the middle of nowhere. Yohohoho!

[Brook keeps fiddling with the journal, not really sure how it works.]

I wonder if anyone shall find me? ... Well! No point in sulking about it, when you're feeling down and alone, you should sing!

Perhaps so. Have you just arrived?

Well I would have to assume I have since one minute I remember riding on Brownbeard's back, and the next I found myself on a raft in the middle of nowhere. So I have to assume some form of shenanigans got me there.

I see. It has happened many times, where people would be sent home for a time, and then brought back. Sometimes they retain their memories, and sometimes not.

A raft in the middle of nowhere? Are you...in the ocean?

Oh... well that's strange.

Yes actually. I suppose whatever force brought me here must have found it rather fitting as a pirate.

Oh...that is quite far beyond my reach. However, I know a friend with warping abilities. I'm sure she could warp you to the village.

Hmm... that does sound tempting, and quite useful. However, I think I've already got someone who will be giving me a lift. So I would really hate for them to have gone all that way only to find I'd disappeared.

Yohohoho! Everyone has a story! Who they are, where they come from, how they came to be who they are today! I'm rather fond of stories personally. So, what is yours?

[mountain_sage]

Hmm...

[He pauses to come up with a quick summary of who he is.]

I come from Magvel, or more specifically, a mountain village called Caer Pelyn. We live our lives honoring the Great Dragon, who saved our world from evil long ago. I have spent my life studying different fields of magic. When the Great Dragon sensed an ominous energy from the south, I was assigned to escort his adopted daughter as she went to investigate it. But during our quest, we were separated in a skirmish. I was searching for her still when I was pulled here more than two years ago.

Hmm, that is indeed quite the tale. Wait... did you say you've been here for two years?!

... I wonder how long I'll be here then...
