OOC: [Party Log] Brook's Musical Extravaganza

PARTY!!!!

Everyone is invited to come to this party and just magically show up to hear the music that will be in store.

Brook shall be busting around everywhere, as a party post anyone can show up and do just about anything.  Eat, listen to music, throw tomatoes, make out in the closet, play on the beach on the island they're docked at, pretty much anything at all.

The Lawn deck is where most of the party shall take place and there is a stage there too.  People are welcome to request the musicians to play something they request and they shall be playing a few songs of their own.  Brook shall also sing every song he's ever written (by me posting links to youtube throughout the party.  People on the lawn deck are free to dance and react to songs that people have played.

The straw hat ship is docked an island and if there are any problems or difficulties please contact me immidiately via my AIM or E-mail.  If I cannot be reached at either of those you can most likely contact CC to get a hold of me.

Oh, and in case you haven't figured out this party is on the Straw Hat pirate ship the thousand sunny and there is an island they are docked at you can go to too.  It's an autumn island with a lovely forest with lovely foliage that is... lovely.

The Stage

The stage area is where all the musical fun takes place, the different artists shall sing their songs here. Brook has brought out his entire musical collection onto the stage for people to use to play. For instance he has a set of bells for Ussop to play from long range if he is to shy to go onto the stage, there is an acordion, a few guitars, a pipe organ, violins, lutes, pretty much anything you can think up. People are welcome to post links to the songs their musicians are singing. A lot of it shall be the musicians talking back and forth about their pieces between works.

Anyways, keep your eyes open on the stage area for new songs which people can react to or talk about while on other parts of the ship.

A very large grin slowly materialized over the piano before invisible paws pressed down onto the keys. The smile continued to hover as notes blarred out from the instrument which created a horrific sound. Vanishing momentarily, the stage went silent before the Cheshire Cat appeared beside the mic. He smiled at it before whistling through tuned teeth, "'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe...~"

"W-what a...unique song, Cheshire Cat" Botan says, walking up to the edge of the stage, astounded by the sudden materialization of the cat. Honestly, that's what had drawn her attention in the first place. "D-did you write it yourself?"

"Yes, it is a quite unique little song if I do say so myself." Brooke said as he slided over from his position on stage to greet the young lady who walked to the edge of it.

"So Lady Botan, think you shall reconsider joining us on stage? Yohohoho!"

"Why thank you, but I didn't write it~" Cheshire said as he jumped down to the floor and disappeared right before hitting the ground. He reappeared just in front of Botan's face and grinned at her. "Did you like it~?"

Brook was admittedly startled by the sudden appearance of the Cheshire cat's singing. Nonetheless he tried his best to follow the bizarre tune that was the Cheshire Cat's song. Brook had not initially wanted to open with the Cheshire cat singing because he was worried he would scare everyone's socks off. But what was done was done and he rather like the Cheshire Cat's antics.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Let's give a big round of applause to the Cheshire Cat as we welcome you to Brook's Musical Extravaganza! And now to get things started, I welcome you all to the Grand Line!"

After Brook and the other musicians who were here finished singing Brook thought he'd take the time to ask a few questions from the 'person' who sang their first guest song. "So Mr. Cheshire, or can I just call you cat? Where did you learn to play the piano like... that?"

Cheshire stood up from his spot by the mic and took a bow before materializing beside Brooke as he sang his welcoming song.

"Mr. Cheshire is quite alright~" the Cat mused as he looked at the keys thoughtfully, "I can't say I learned~ I played what I played, there is no learning..."

From the audience, Reborn saw the Cheshire Cat settle down at the piano to play a song. He knew the poem, a classic, and was impressed by the performance.

Spotting a familiar hat beyond the stage, Cheshire Cat blinked at the figure before disappearing from the piano. He emerged into view in front of Reborn, lifting the top of his head as he did so. "Heeeeello~ Are you enjoying yourself tonight?"

The sound of the cat's paws on the keys jolt Gokudera's attention to the stage as he's passing, and he stops to glare at the feline behind the microphone. "aUGGH." A sound escapes him that suggests he's vomiting inside his own mouth, and a disgusted expression settles over his pale face.

Brooke saw the young man looking rather ill in front of the stage as the Cheshire Cat sang his bizarre little tune. "Are you quite alright?" Brooke asked leaning down a bit.

With a flick of his ears, Cheshire pinpointed the digusted sound and quickly directed his gaze towards Gokudera. His smile seemed to freeze and turn almost icy before he vanished quickly, his smile materializing directly in front of the other's face.

Brooke was perhaps a little too eager to get the ball rolling but he did have quite a few songs to get done before the night was over. And so he took the mic at the front of the stage and said with a great big smile to everyone on the Lawn Deck, "And now ladies and gentlemen I'd like to sing a little song about a great man in this crew. A great man, who is also a giraffe."

Green Island Serenade

Taiwan is a little late getting on to the stage, holding on to her erhu. She had been practicing her music as much as she could, as well as all of Brooke's pieces. She was a bit worried that the tone of her instrument wouldn't fit the mood of a lot of Brooke's songs.

Brooke couldn't help but let a silly little grin be on his face as he saw Taiwan climbing up the stage's steps with her erhu. It felt like all the little pieces of his grand plan for a musical get together was finally coming together.

"Lady Taiwan! It's such a delight to see you! I think I may have heard a sample of your work on my way from the library you're quite splendid! I'm sorry if I hadn't given you enough time to prepare though, call it the absentmindedness of an old skeleton bard. Yohohoho! Would you perhaps like to take a minute to do a little vocal harmonizing with me to warm up your vocal chords?"

Touya couldn't help thinking the whole cast is insane. But after all, he had signed up for it, so following through was a must. He sat at the piano and played the first song that came to mind, which due to his distance from home, was his mother's.

After Touya had finished playing his song Brooke spun over with his violin still in hand with a smile.

"That was an excellent work Touya, where did you learn it? I've never heard that piece before."

"Thank you." he smiled, a little flustered. That particular tune had always been a little difficult for him to play since his mother's passing. "My mother composed it."

"Makar! Oh Makar!? Where are yoooou?!" Brooke called out on the stage for his miniature musical man. Well Makar wasn't exactly what one would call a man but he liked the alliteration. "I can't start this song without you Makar!" Brooke said calling out again looking everywhere for him.

Brooke smile broadly as he spots the little musician holding a whip that looked much to big for him. "Ah Makar! There you are! I was worried that maybe that whip I asked you to bring was a bit to big for you! I'm glad you made it here in one piece, and with the whip no less. So my friend shall we begin? Yohohoho!"

Makar fidgets and sets up his violin for his song. The only place he'd performed was the Forest Haven, in front of his friends and the Great Deku Tree... It was an understatement to say Makar was nervous.

Brooke slid over from where he was playing his own violin to accompany Makar. "That was excellent Makar! Short but quite sweet! You play rather well with your violin there. Although I must admit I haven't exactly seen any other violin quite like it, what is it made of?"
