1st Song [video]
[Brook has found himself stuck on a flimsy raft out at sea. He can be seen drinking a cup of tea while seemingly having a tea party for himself.]
Well... the accommodations aren't exactly five star, and it's a little leaky, but at least it seems steerable. Not quite as bad as the last vessel I found myself alone on in the middle of nowhere. Yohohoho!
[Brook keeps fiddling with the journal, not really sure how it works.]
I wonder if anyone shall find me? ... Well! No point in sulking about it, when you're feeling down and alone, you should sing!
When you are refined,
And would like to dine,
There's only one beverage that you need,
When you need a drink,
To bring you back from the brink,
It's the greatest thing indeeeeeed!
This is an ode to tea,
The greatest drink in the land!
Tea is great for snack times,
It is so very grand!
Without tea I'd be lost,
Although I think already am!
So here's an ode to tea,
To help me give a damn!
Yohohoho!
[He seems to be taking notes in his journal on the lyrics... that make no sense]
Hmm... I think that last verse still needs a little work.

[voice]
[She wracks her brain to think of what major differences there are in the time since Brook left. Had Zoro been here then? She's not quite sure.] Well. Tony-kun went back home. But Mr Bushido is here now. Ah, but he's not from as far in the future as most of the crew. [She pauses.] In fact, it's just me and him that are that far behind the rest of you. [Vivi, in fact, has no idea Brook no longer recognizes her as nakama, or even knows who she is.]
[voice]
Yohohoho! It must have been longer than I had thought then.
[He snaps his fingers having come up with a clever idea.]
So um... it's been a really long time since I've been here, and as embarrassed as I am to admit this, I can't quite recognize whose voice this is off the top of my head. Could you tell me who you are?
[He wasn't quite sure if that was being misleading or not, but it did seem like a way to spare her feelings about not being remembered.]
[voice]
[She repositions her journal slightly to make sure her face is in-frame, and smiles, though she can't help it looking a little disappointed.] O-oh. You don't remember me, Brook-san? [She hopes a look at her face, or perhaps a glimpse of her distinctive blue hair might jog his memory.]
[voice] 1/4
No... I'm sorry I don't remember anything about this place. I... really wish that I did, as it seems that I made some truly incredible friends here, but I don't remember any of them. I was hoping maybe to try to spare your feelings, but I think that would only have made things worse.
[voice] 2/4
But let me try to guess your name anyways! I've always been good at guessing games, it could be fun!
[voice] 3/4

[voice]
[Her smile brightens genuinely, and she gives a small laugh, shaking her head.] I'm afraid not. It's Vivi. Nefertari Vivi. I'm one of your nakama.
[voice]
Tell me Vivi, I assume you prefer Vivi? Tell me, how long have you been in Luceti yourself?
[voice]
Yes, Vivi is fine. [He'd addressed her more formerly as Vivi-san in the past, but she's hardly going to quibble over the lack of an honorific, despite her own polite insistence on using them with most people.] I've been here since... [She pauses to tot up the months.] I suppose it's been about a year and a half now. [Time flies.]
[voice]
[He likely would have called her Vivi-san had he been a bit more certain on how close of a friendship they'd had before, but he didn't really feel like asking. (ooc: That and his mun prefers not to use honorifics too often >_>) ]
Wow... that really is quite some time. How have you found life here to suit you?
[voice]
[voice]
[voice]
[She's well aware that's not anything like a story, but she hopes it might be a good start for information, at least. And there's a question wavering uncertainly in the back of her mind, as well. Even if Brook doesn't remember her from his previous time in Luceti, surely he must have heard a little about her from the rest of the crew..? She asks without stopping to think about whether it would be wise.]
Didn't the others ever mention me?
[voice]
I really don't know all the details personally.
[voice]
[And now she supposes they'll have to meet all over again. It's the first time she's had to deal with something like this--certainly more casual acquaintances had left Luceti in the past and returned not remembering her, but she'd never expected to have to deal with that with one of her nakama. It's leaving her feeling more than a little wrong-footed.]
...well, that's all right. The past isn't all that important, I suppose. [And she smiles, hoping it looks more certain than she feels.]
[voice]
By the way, I was wondering, when I finally get to town, would you be so kind as to show me your panties?
[voice] 1/3
[voice]
[voice]
Certainly not.
[voice]
[That definitely did send chills down his spine... either that or a sea breeze caused a bit of a draft up his shirt, one of those.]
Well, it was worth a shot.
[voice]
Oh, we're all staying in a house here; I don't know if anyone told you.
[voice]
[Most of these questions are asked in a flurry, as Brook is just dying of curiosity here. But he has a bit of a pause as he considers his last question, and whether or not he should ask it.]
...
When do you think I will get to speak to Luffy? I haven't seen him yet.
[voice]
Of course you should move right back in! I don't know if there are any clothes left in your room, but if you need things to wear, you can probably find things at the clothing shop. [Perhaps not a lot at first, because Brook isn't exactly a standard size, but he should be able to get the basics.] Ah, yes, it does snow in the winter. [If her voice sounds a little flat at that, it's because she discovered last year that once the novelty of snow wears off, winter runs a little long for her tastes. Desert princesses really aren't made for cold climates.]
[She gives special attention to his last question, emphasis lent to it by the careful pause he took before asking.] Luffy-san...don't worry; he's around. He's not always good about checking his journal, so he probably doesn't know you're here yet, but I'm sure you'll see him once you get to the house! ...by mealtime at the very latest.
[voice] Late tag is late >_>
[He's just taking in the information about the other questions she answered. Not really having a good answer to them.]
Ahh, that is... a relief. I've been worried since I had not heard from him yet, but I suppose he's not exactly the most technologically adept... or for that matter, literately adept.
